When more is MORE!
Fireworks! Can you ever really see enough fireworks exploding with those trailing tails of color across the night sky? I can't. The best firework show maybe on the Mall in Washington D.C. The thunder of the show is deafening, and the colors reflecting off the monuments leave you breathless. That said, with July 4th upon us, there are some pretty great shows right here in town to get your patriotic blood flowing. While Montgomery was forced to cancel their show, the Princeton fireworks will go on as usual at Princeton University's football field this Thursday July 1st . Should you yearn for more, no worries; Fireworks will be going off in Hamilton's Veterans Park Friday night, and New Hope/Lambertville will put on a show over the river every Friday night this Summer. Still need more? Head to Main Street, Cranbury on Monday night for a concert and firework show to wrap up the weekend.
Looking for some great recipes to take along with you? Pick up the June issue of Bon Appetit. Not only does it have great cold sides, but if you decide to watch the show from the comforts of your front porch, you'll find a recipe for the Leland Palmer, a jasmine iced tea, limoncello and gin concoction mixed with lemon and grapefruit juice that sounds divine.
So grab your blankets, glow sticks, firefly boxes and picnics and 'ooh and aah' this weekend to the big show. It's a patriotic affair that can't be beat.
